New cats after loss

My gorgeous Ruby passed away last year. I had such lovely support here. It was very rough and I still regularly cry.
I'm really missing having a cat though so went to a local rescue last weekend and I get to give a new home to Lucinda and Jasmine! I haven't got a date yet but I hope soon. They are described as quiet and are three years old. Noone else wanted them from all the viewings they did all weekend. I'm super excited to be a cat slave again.

I didn't mean to also attach pictures of wool!

Sorry for your loss
They are beautiful cats and look very sweet. I love their names,.

A new cat never replaces an old one but you can love them all.
The day one of my beautiful cats died the kitten we ended up getting was born. We didn’t realise until we got her certificates from the breeder, it must have been meant to be. As one went over rainbow 🌈 bridge the other came into this world . She is eerily like her in so many ways, it makes me realise that you are meant to get the ones you have.

Enjoy them.
I just absolutely love cats they are other worldly yet so comforting and present .

What a beauty she was 💐

I assumed the wool was a favourite plaything ;)

Your new girls look very pretty but a bit scared, I hope they settle in quickly.

They used to live with another cat and didn't like it which is why they ended up in the rescue. They were described as quiet. The rescue did appointments for viewings all day Saturday and Sunday and when we came round the two of them were hiding. I think they will need some time to settle in. We are a quiet house, a family of four introverts so I think that will suit them.

You sound like the perfect home for them.

I hope so! Dd2 is planning to turn a cardboard box into a cosy hideout and the teenager says she will come out of her room so the cats can get to know her! We usually need to crowbar her out of there unless she wants cups of tea :)

Wow, Sybil is stunning. I'll have to post comparison photos once they've arrived :)

Definitely - love a grey cat (and black and white cats, and black cats, and...)

My new cats are arriving on Tuesday, I'm incredibly excited! I was thinking of getting a feliway diffuser. Should I plug it in a day or two before they arrive?
