Hi all!

We have a kitten joining us soon. She will only be 8 weeks. I am looking for best cleaning products and products to effectively remove any smells pls? I have used an enzyme spray before, when we had a cat come in and spray!!

Thanks so much x

You should just need a litter tray. No need for enzyme sprays etc. unless the cat isn't litter trained.

You sound well prepared!

I would recommend this spray from Amazon Simple Solution Extreme Cat Stain and Odour Remover Enzymatic Cleaner, 500ml https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CZNPEZ0/ref=cmswwrcppapigltti2PN49TPJHDPRZZSBBQR0 You can use it after you've cleaned out the tray with soapy water. Also, I use a puppy pad in the bottom of the litter tray too but I think you can get cat liners. I also use a combination of litter but that could be overkill and just me trying to avoid two big litter trays of expensive cat litter! I have two cats and after we moved house in September they have refused to go outside so I now have (very annoying) house cats. I use a wood layer, then some cheap grit litter with a good absorbent, anti-bacterial one on top.

If there are any accidents on the carpet then Dr Beckmann is the best carpet cleaner I've found and available in supermarkets. Then you can use the enzyme spray after that as they will go back and pee in the same place if they can smell it.

Good luck with your kitty!
