The vet nurse suggested a t-shirt rather than a cone......we will see!

I tied a t-towel around mineGrin. Those cones are just so awful. Hope all goes well.

fizzyp0p · 12/04/2021 10:40

jumper sleeve, cut holes for legs. anything better than the cone
i usually dont use anything.
hope she's ok

Wolfiefan · 12/04/2021 10:41

Bless. I was so nervous when we had our pair neutered as little kittens. All fine of course and up and bouncing in no time. Is your cat microchipped? Our vet did it whilst they were anaesthetised. Well worth doing.

Aprilshowersandhail · 12/04/2021 10:42

Our dcat went last week. Stitches on the inside, no cone or visible stitch ends! Like a bullet out the box and like it never happened!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2021 12:40

Did you remember to cry in the car park?.

KatyMac · 12/04/2021 12:45

No crying rushed back for zoom yoga!!

Yes mucrochipped at the same time

The t-shirt is from the vet

Hoping it will stop her attacking us!!!

At the vets waiting to get her!

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2021 14:07

The guilt is real isn’t it?. Maybe it’ll calm her down a bit.

KatyMac · 12/04/2021 14:36

She does NOT like the t-shirt!

OP posts:
KatyMac · 12/04/2021 14:51

Within 10 minutes of being home she had ripped the t-shirt apart and it was off!

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 12/04/2021 15:09

Oops. Good luck with that. One of mine chewed through her stitches and ended up being stapled. Shock

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2021 16:23

I’m not a fan of cones etc, we didn’t have them years ago & I'd worry they’d wriggle so much to get them off they’d rupture.

We only had one cat who bit her stitches off but she was a tortie, so that explains it.

Wolfiefan · 12/04/2021 16:31

@Fluffycloudland77 Ha! Our stapled cat was a tortie. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2021 16:43

Obvs 😹

sunshineandshowers21 · 12/04/2021 16:48

i had to get a special babygrow thing from the vets to put on mine because she chewed through the stitches twice! she wasn’t happy 😂 we had to be so careful to keep her in so there wasn’t an influx of babygrowed cat sightings on the local facebook page.

Wolfiefan · 12/04/2021 16:55

If I had tried to put a babygro on tortie I would have had my face ripped off! Grin

KatyMac · 12/04/2021 17:52

Do I try and put it back on?

The vet nurse was seriously damaged putting it on In the first place

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2021 17:54

I’d leave it and see how she gets on, she’s been through enough today.

fizzyp0p · 12/04/2021 17:57

I'd leave it off

KatyMac · 12/04/2021 18:01

She is jumping from floor to top of the wardrobe and chasing and pouncing our feet

I'm exhausted! Even if she isnt

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2021 21:14

Is she ok? She should zonk out soon.

KatyMac · 12/04/2021 21:56

She seems it just eaten half a tin of tuna applaws!

Then escaped out the kitchen to chase DD round the house!

I'm sure she will be fine

OP posts:
ValerieMorghulis · 12/04/2021 22:14

Oh dear! I suppose it’s good that she feels able to jump around...

But the vet nurse told us they should keep three feet on the floor at all times, for at least ten days (ie no jumping or climbing) She couldn’t get out of the babygro because it was a small size so really tight. She looked ridiculous but adorable Grin

KatyMac · 12/04/2021 22:44

Not a clue how to keep a cat on the floor other than lock her in her travelling carrier :(

She is sleeping now on top of the wardrobe

KatyMac · 12/04/2021 22:45

Yes the t-shirt was tiny and now it is torn!
