Cat wee fiasco

Hi, we recently moved house and in the first few days settling our two cats in one of them did a wee on a mattress in one of the bedrooms. I have got rid of the mattress and all bedding involved. If I place anything on that spot (like today some bedding) he wees on it again.

I'm in despair.

We are actually planning to replace the carpet so I can do this ASAP but will it work?

I think I’d go for hard flooring to be on the safe side.

He might have a urine infection, they are sensitive souls are cats.
