How to help cat gain weight?

My cat is 17 years old the vet said he is losing weight. He is acting completely fine eating the same amount, playing, sleeping, toilet habits all the same. They have done a few tests but nothing showing up. What can I add to his diet to help him out on weight please?

Maybe try kitten food

A good quality senior cat food will have easily digestible protein which will help to maintain weight in a senior car. Getting weight back on a teenage car is nearly impossible.

Thanks for the replies I thought gaining weight may difficult. He seems happy enough
