Limping cat

The little cat we are looking after keeps sitting holding one of his front feet off the floor. He is jumping up and down on and off furniture etc and running round and playing still. Is there anything to be worried about? Is it likely that he has strained it slightly and will be ok?

It's not uncommon for them to hurt a leg or paw and for it to look really serious, but a lot of the time it's nothing and the limping often disappears within a day or two. If he'll let you, have a look at his paw to check for damage or for something sticking in it. He seems to be behaving pretty normally, so I'd just keep an eye on him and if he is still limping as much in a couple of days, he might need a vet to check it.

Thank you for the reply :) he's just hurdled the sofa so I don't think there is too much wrong. He's not keen on us checking his foot but I'll keep trying!
