Feeding my kitten

I have an 8 week old kitten. I have only had her three days so she is still settling in. I am a bit worried though about how much I should be feeding her (I have never had such a little kitten).

The breeder I got her from said to give her half a pouch. The first day I had her she didn’t really eat very much but I think that’s because she was new and scared.

Today I have given her half a pouch for breakfast and she ate the whole lot. By 12 she was sat by her bowl miaowing so I gave her the other half a pouch and she has eaten all of that to.

I feel bad making her wait til breakfast to have any more so will probably give her some tea to. But obviously that’s a lot more than half a pouch!

There is a chance that I have miss understood the breeder because she didn’t speak english as her first language so something could have got lost in translation.

Any advice?

You feed a kitten however much they want to be fed. Mine had several small wet meals per day at that age. They had dry food available all day too.
Maybe they meant half a pouch at each meal rather than in a day (half a pouch is nowhere near enough btw)

Gosh that's very tiny!
Assuming she doesn't have worms, agree with pp: if she's hungry, feed her appropriate kitten food and leave some dry out too, just don't leave a big mound of wet food out - I did have a kitten that would gorge itself. When she's bigger you can gradually teach her the three/four times a day feeding time.

You obviously have to post a picture.
