I'm rescuing a new cat! I miss Buns so so much but I can't stand the empty house and nobody to welcome me when I get home.
She's white and tabby and 11 years old, I'll post pics when I pick her up.
I know her because she's a friends cat, she doesn't get on with the other cats in the house so she has to be rehomed alone.
She is an octopuss, very affectionate and loves constant cuddles.
I was wondering, does anyone know if I can get insurance for an 11 year old cat?

I’m just here for the photos!.

To not answer your question, I'm afraid I don't bother with insurance so I don't know.

However - very pleased you are getting another cat, she sounds lovely, and I'm also looking forward to photos. Smile

This is her. She is a velcro cat which is nice. I need the cuddles.

Oh she’s very dainty looking! I like cuddles too.

She's pretty! There's always an extra space in your heart for a kitty in need of a new home. I'm not 100% sure if you can get lifetime cover for an 11 year old cat but I could be wrong. You could get annual cover at least which is better than nothing. Do current owners not have insurance? If they did maybe you could continue it somehow?

i have found insurance, based on my previous experience with cats, a cat her age would be ok on limited insurance, enough for accidental injury and £2000 per condition. I'm not subjecting an old girl to drastic treatment.
if she needs radioactive iodine in the future for hyperthyroidism or breaks a leg that will cover it.
