9month old kitten missing

Our kitten went missing around midnight on Monday. He is 9 months old and a smoky grey colour. He didn’t come back in. He only just really started wanting to go out late at night before that he was happy being indoors, We really want him back and have been looking and selling him around where we live. We have also posted flyers in nearby houses and on fb. Does anybody have any advise?

Put his litter tray and his food out in your garden. You can also hang one of his blankets on your washing line. Post on the next door app and ask people to look out for him. Post on your local cats protection fb page if you havent. Call round all local vets incase he has been taken in or is. I'd personally be knocking everyones doors in all streets round us and personally asking them to check sheds etc..

Hope he comes back soon. I have an 8 month old and would be in bits. My friends 7 month kitten in the next street went missing for a week a couple of weeks ago then just turned up.

Hi thanks we’ve done most of that already and we keep looking and calling him but what you have said sounds positive thank you 😊

Oh you poor thing. Go out when its dark, take a torch, check everywhere and keep looking. Take a torch which reflects their eyes. He probably isn't too far away but will be frightened and hiding. Call his name and don't give up until you find him. Our cat was missing for 3 days and nights but found her under a bush a ten minute walk away. Most cats don't travel too far but may just have lost his path/way home.

Hope he comes home very soon. Good advice here. They often go on the missing list when they first start to go out. One of mine was missing Friday to Sunday evening. When he carne back, he brought a friend with him, had a scoff and left for another day! Has he been neutered? If not, maybe he's found a lady-friend.

LilacHeart · 04/03/2021 23:54

Thanks for your messages Smile yes he’s been neutered and chipped. We are trying to stay positive and will keep looking. We have an older cat too, she is about 10 and didn’t have much time for him, but he just wanted to play and to be her friend. We hope that he might smell her and find his at home...

Any news? If not I would go knocking on doors with your flyers, and ask people to check garages/sheds. Make a nuisance of yourself - it tends to work.

Want2beme · 08/03/2021 23:44

Just wondering if your little puss is back?

LilacHeart · 09/03/2021 07:44

No no need yet. We are still looking and hoping though Thank you

He’s home!
He was found in a neighbours shed today, been missing for almost 2 weeks, 4 doors away unbelievable! Relief though. Thanks for all your advise and positive vibes xx

That’s such good news!. He will learn nothing from this though “ooh a shed, I’ll just have a look in here”.

Toddlerteaplease · 15/03/2021 20:13

Brilliant news!

Easterbunnygettingready · 15/03/2021 20:20

I hope he is suitably grounded...

He will be so tired and glad to be home - you're in for some really lovely cuddles over the next few days.

Wolfiefan · 15/03/2021 22:13

Oh thank goodness. Both my girls have form for this. I have been known to stalk the streets at night, calling their names through garage doors. Blush

Loveatortie · 15/03/2021 22:16

Fantastic Smile

helpfulperson · 16/03/2021 15:18

Wonderful. It's so often what happens, especially with young, adventurous, nosy ones.

Mzy123 · 16/03/2021 17:07

So pleased for you. Very common that they are nearbye. Bet he's sleeping like a log and eating like a lion 😂

thecatneuterer · 16/03/2021 17:40

That's wonderful. So he was trapped? If he's had no food or water for all this time (I imagine he must have been licking condensation) then he needs to see a vet.

Alonelonelyloner · 16/03/2021 17:54

Yay!!!
Our cat disappeared for ten days once and he must've been trapped somewhere as he was desperately thin and dehydrated.

I'm so glad your bub is home!
