Greedy, revolting feline

TaraR2020 · 02/03/2021 23:53

I know it's not that unusual but my massively greedy cat just gobbled his food so quickly he threw it up on the carpet

And then ate it again

🤢

I love the sod, but seriously..!

Mine does this. He threw up salmon sheba down the back of the radiator recently, then sat underneath eating the bits that fell out. We had to take the whole radiator off the wall to hose it down outside.

minipie · 03/03/2021 00:06

Oh this is so grim but really made me laugh

Sorry!

HunkyPunk · 03/03/2021 00:19

It's not unusual for Hunkycat to devour his food, then immediately throw up, but I've yet to see him eat it again afterwards - urgh!
In fact only this morning, In reply to dh's enquiry about what I'd left in a carrier by the back door for him to dispose of, I found myself saying 'a bag of sick and a dead mouse'. Delightful!

sunflowersandbuttercups · 03/03/2021 07:07

My kitten did this yesterday! Stuffed his face with salmon biscuits then vomited them up (whole) all over my carpet Hmm

Then while I was cleaning the sick up, he jumped up to his bowl and continued to stuff his face 🤣

Vinorosso74 · 03/03/2021 07:46

Ours once threw his back up on the plate and ate it again. Grim.

You can buy those special bowls for greedy dogs, but I'm yet to see one for a cat. It sounds like there's a market for that.

NutellaEllaElla · 03/03/2021 08:02

You can also buy a plastic hollow ball which has little holes in that your cat has to push around for the biscuits to fall out. It entertains them and slows them down.

gettingusedtothelimelight · 03/03/2021 08:03

@Wheresmyfuckingphone Amazon sell them for cats. Not tried it though.

Mine just push their bowls on the floor though so I don't think they'd work very well in our house 🤣

Wheresmyfuckingphone · 03/03/2021 08:10

I didn't know that! We went through years of only giving him a little at a time, the greedy fucker.

Wiggleinherwalk · 03/03/2021 08:18

Wigglecat was eating his biscuits so fast you could hear him choking on them which was pretty grim...

So I've started putting his biscuits in this which slows him down a lot - he really wasn't pleased at first, lots of screaming, but now he seems resigned to the new regime. Also gives his sister a chance as he'll get annoyed and walk away rather than hoovering as much as possible!

Allergictoironing · 03/03/2021 09:03

Boycat occasionally gobbles his biscuits down really fast then throws it all back up again immediately. Girlcat then comes along to eat it! Then again, he upchucks so soon after eating that it looks like a pile of slightly damp biscuits rather than sick.

TaraR2020 · 03/03/2021 12:28

Disgusting vultures the lot of them Grin

@iminacage I hope it wasn't winter when he did that!

Its Greedy Cat's wet food that he gobbles down, he's much more restrained with his dry - have thought about getting him one of those slow bowls for dogs but tbh I'm not sure it would make a difference!

That’s so wrong. Ours is a greedy bugger but hasn’t yet resorted to regurgitating for seconds.

Made me think of this, which always makes me laugh...

Want2beme · 04/03/2021 15:29

Eew Grin

TaraR2020 · 04/03/2021 15:53

Oh my word that video is hilarious!!

'Regurgitating for seconds' maybe that's exactly his plan - I've always thought he has a look of a roman emperor! Grin

Girl cat quite often pukes if her food isn't mushed up enough. The last time she did it by the time i got stuff to clean it up with, her brother had ate it all 🤢

ValerieMorghulis · 04/03/2021 20:29

My two eat each other’s sick. They truly are repulsive beasts

LunaHeather · 04/03/2021 20:34

Well, I think I'm cured

I will stick to watching cats on YT

Reckon you saved me a lot of cost and hassle there.

sweetkitty · 05/03/2021 23:42

The 3 I have just now don’t do this but one I had before used to regularly throw up on the shaggy rug I had in the living room despite the whole downstairs being hard wood floors or very easy to clean puke up from oh no I had to spend hours picking individual chunks out of the woolly bits. He knew what he was doing!
