I lost one of my kittens last night. They were brothers, 8 months old, very close. He was killed on the road outside my house, must have been hit by a car - quiet side road, 7pm on a Sunday night. It just feels so unfair, he was so young. Every time I look at his brother I start crying for him. I’ve had cats all my life, most have lived into old age, so this is a shock.

Not sure what I’m after, but there seems an unreasonably large hole in my life

I’m sorry, I lost mine on a quiet no through road. It’s very unfair to lose them young.

I'm so so sorry. This happened to mine only two weeks ago. It's heartbreaking.

Sending lots of love.

Just to add mine was only just one, you feel even more robbed

Mumdiva99 · 01/03/2021 22:59

So sorry for your loss. His poor sibling. How's the other kitten?

Wimpeyspread · 02/03/2021 00:31

Thanks everyone for your kind posts -other kitten is a bit lost, but ok. I took the little one to the vets for cremation, and promptly burst into tears - I need to get a grip, but my cats are my babies!
