Took my cat to the vets last Friday because she was limping a bit and when sitting down she was lifting her paw up, the vet checked the leg and said it wasn't broken, while at the vets the cat didn't limp or lift her leg up, the vet have her a pain killer injection. Since she came home from the vets she wasn't lifting her leg up while sitting down till yesterday, she isn't limping and still wants to jump up and go out but still lifts her paw up

It's because cats are wee shite bags. Is it a front paw?

Kazzy71 · 23/02/2021 07:29

Yes it is her front paw and I agree cats are shite bags especially this one

Does she get attention when she lifts the paw?.

Kazzy71 · 23/02/2021 08:30

Yes sometimes I give her attention when she does it

So she wants your time and has figured out the paw works?. Quite sweet really.

One of mine lifts her front paws because she has corns on her pads. I discovered this a few years ago whilst watching a vet prog about a greyhound who kept lifting his front paws and the vet immediately knew that it was corns. I think it was the Australian vet prog. The first time I noticed them I asked the vet to deal with them, but now I take care of them myself.

I wondered if she was doing it to get my attention but she gets the most attention lol, I will try and ignore her when she does it and see if that works because I hate seeing her do it because I think she's in pain.

The vet checked her pads so don't think she has anything wrong with them.
