Best litter and litter tray?

I am SICK to death of litter all over the floor every time Demelza goes toilet. Plus my absolute favourite litter has been discontinued 😔 Iv tried so many different ones and none are as good.

It was the sanicat duo mandarin and vanilla.

Can anyone suggest a good clumping one?

Also, a litter tray! We have a hooded one but thinking of a top entry one?

Thank you!

Try the sanicat oxygen from b and m.
I feel your pain as the mandarin one was my favourite too.
I have a litter catcher mat under our tray, which helps with reducing the tracking. No idea on top loaders, we have hooded one without the flap.

For my kitten I use the hooded flap litter tray with Sani cat non clumping I'm in the same boat trying to find litter that doesn't go everywhere I've even got a mat outside his litter box but that doesn't really stop it much.

My mum has the open top litter tray where her Bengal jumps in through the top and she uses wood pellets and swears by them plus I think from it being the open top she doesn't have any mess from the litter.
I'm debating swapping to one as my kitten gets older.

Worlds best litter with a lidded tray.

I have 6 cats so I just sweep 100 times a day, but I use Tesco non clumping that has some kind of scent cover up whatever in it- sorry I’m no help but I love cat threads :-D 😺

I’ve heard buying bulk wood pellets from tack shops is good and doesn’t track as much but I have never tried it

Thank you all!

Lately she’s been dragging poop out with her when she jumps out Envy not envy!

Hooded tray and catsan I've had both through 8 cats and catsan is great.

I use newspaper in the litter tray for my 20 year old as she gets confused trying to bury her poo and falls over Grin with the newspaper she just goes in, does her business and gets out.

I really like cat’s best smart pellets. They are a bit more expensive but tracking has almost 100% reduced apart from a few strays.

Before that I had a finer cat litter that tracked all over the house which was a nightmare to clean.

I have a modkat top entry litter box as my cat used to kick litter out all over the bathroom. Might not be suited to an older cat but my kitten at the time adjusted just fine. A cheaper option I looked at was an Iris top entry litter box which was around £25 at pet planet

I had a top entry box. It was fantastic. Unfortunately when I got Cheddar she didn't understand it. So replaced with a ModKat flip. Which they liked but I absolutely hated. So back to a standard wilko hooded tray and honeycomb Mat underneath.
