Limp tail

Hello,

Our cat has come in this evening with a strange bump in her tail (about an inch down the tail from her back) and the tail is limp. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and is quite happy purring and enjoying fuss. Seems fine apart from her tail.

Obviously she needs a trip to the vet but is it an emergency get her there tonight situation or can it wait until first thing tomorrow morning? If she was in pain I would definitely take her tonight but as she seems completely unbothered I'm not sure?

Thanks for any thoughts!

This could be a tail pull injury, or he may have a cat bite. Both will need veterinary investigations and treatment. It probably can wait til morning but dont let kitty out tonight

Out of hours vet are expensive, call them in the morning.

I had something similar with my cat. It was a tail injury probably caused by another cat and needed antibiotics. Going tomorrow should be fine.

We've locked the cat flap for tonight and I'll get her into the vet first thing tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious.
