Cat meowing all the time?

We’ve got two beautiful 1-year-old boys.

The last month or so one had decided to use his voice. All. The. Time.

We can’t work out if it’s for anything in particular I.e. feeding as he’ll have his bowl full, or to go outside as he’ll just be wandering around the living room meowing instead of going to the door.

Sometimes he’s not in the same room as us (but he usually is - they don’t like being too far away from us) so I’m not sure if it’s just to communicate with us.

Does anyone have any ideas? I don’t fancy taking him to the vets for them just to tell me he’s an arsehole.

Yep, this in entirely normal. My pair do it all the time. Mainly sitting in the hall listening to their own voices. But boy cat likes to announce he's either about to use his litter box or has been. Girl cat has her own unique sound for wanting to play. But mainly they just walk around talking to themselves!

He’s just very vocal. You need to talk back.
