We have a 2 year old british shorthair. She is an indoor cat.

She had always had a sensitive tummybut over recent months its got worse and worse. We have tried many different foods both wet and dry but nothingchanges. She has diarrhea at least 4 times a day and spends time straining. Its like having a newborn and nappy changes!

In october she had 2 teeth removed and afterwards was put on a course of antibiotics - during which time her bowels were great! Once a day and solid. When the antibiotics finished straight back to her normal.

We went back to the Vets at the end of December and explained this and she was given a longer two week course of antibiotics – again bowels were great. A day after they finished back to the same.

We Have emailed the vet today to explain the situation but I wonder if anyone has come across this before?

We have also tried various probiotics.

Sorry so long Blush

Has she been diagnosed with IBD? Inflammatory bowel disease. One of mine has it after being diagnosed by an ex lap operation. He's now on the royal canin gastro intestinal moderate calorie wet food. His stomach is very sensitive.
