Last night I was making bouillabaise. (sp)

DH saw me carefully separate out 3 scallops, a prawn and a chunk of salmon, cover it with a cream and parmesan sauce and put it under the grill. He asked who it was for as he is vegan. I told him that naturally it was for our 17 year old elderly cat. She LOVES seafood.

Now he is teasing me for being a cat slave Grin I just told him he can hardly talk. he went off to Sainbos before Christmas and came home proudly holding a lovely fluffy hot water bottle for her cat hammock.

Grin

She pays us back in spades with love and cuddles.

Mind you, my MIL used to make very weak milky tea in an actual teacup for her pekingnese.

This is perfectly normal behaviour. But you can’t have a cat thread without paying the cat tax... where’s our pic?

I’m a confirmed cat slave.

My older cat won’t use the cat flap anymore. I’m a uni lecturer doing live lectures from the dining room table. Most lectures have me apologising a few times each lecture as I have to get up to let the cat out, get up to let the cat in, get up to let the cat out. 😂

My cat must have seen me search for fingerless gloves to keep my fingers warm when typing. He has taken it upon himself to lie across my wrists when I am typing. It is wonderful for my touch typing and if I ever wanted a role as a Bond villan.

I am afraid that if i put up a pic I would be outed because I post hundreds of pics of her on facebook. Blush

She is a rather bad tempered tortie. With an arthritic shoulder who pushes the dogs off their own beds and raids our neighbour's fishpond.

I love her with all my heart. It took 9 years before she gave me the time of day though.

and.... my eldest DS has a range of neurological issues and is quite a sad and anxious little boy. DCat sleeps on his bed every night and alot of the day and when he is having an anxious episode likes to give him kisses and nibbles his hair.

Covidcovid I'm sure your students realise what it is to be a cat slaveGrin

Oldsu · 17/01/2021 00:19

I had to go out specially today because I realised I had run out of the individual trifles I buy so my cat can have the cream and custard from the top, luckily my local corner shops has them so I don't have to walk too far or use the supermarket - but still.......
