Evening all. I feel like I need some nice big house plants in my life. I want to make sure what I get is going to be safe for Gooseboy. Can you knowledgeable lots advise my on what I could get / what should be avoided?
We haven't had any flowers or anything in the house since we became his slaves four years ago Grin

Spider plants are safe for cats but they might end up looking very chewed Grin

All types of lilies are poisonous to cats.

As above, spider plants are fine, as are Boston ferns. I'm don't any big, showy plants that are OK off the top of my head, though, I'm afraid.

A quick google gives me this list:

African Violet. Want houseplants that are pet-friendly that also produce gorgeous blooms? ...
Air Plant. ...
Aluminum Plant or Watermelon Plant. ...
Christmas Cactus. ...
Some Varieties of Ferns. ...
Friendship Plant. ...
Some Herbs. ...
Lace Flower Vine or Chocolate Soldier.

I have cacti and an aloe vera plant (well out of the reach of HRH on my kitchen windowsill) but I also feel like I need more plants in the house :)

This is a good database to check individual plants: www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plants

Many online plant shops also now list pet friendly plants separately.
