Puzzlefeeder

We bought Lola a puzzle feeder for Christmas but not sure how to use it. Do you use yours for your cat's main meals which seems a bit mean for it to have to work out getting food when very hungry or do you use it just for treats?

Atm I give Lola her dry food in a regular bowl and put a small amount in the puzzle feeder if she wants to nibble during the day but she doesn't seem very interested in the puzzle.

Mine will eat treats out of a puzzle feeder but if I put food in it they don't even try, just sit by the food bowl looking sad Hmm
I think they know I'll eventually give in Grin

We got a puzzle feeder as soon as we got our old man rescue cat (he had a different type at the rescue centre)

We put his whole meal in the feeder but with a few of the biscuits round the edge

We use ours for daytime grazing as anything in the dish gets hoovered up instantly. We were out all day when we introduced it so they had to figure it out. We now have 3 different ones to keep it a bit more challenging, and of course they will also try meowing sadly if they are having a hard time getting the last biscuits out.
