Cat smells like freshly baked buns!

This is utterly bizarre so not a question I'd ask anyone in real life. But our cat's head often smells of freshly baked cakes. She's not a 6 dinner Sid as far as I know. Yeah, yeah famous last words but how does she smell so sweet? Here's the obligatory photo.

Mine often smells of rosemary when she comes in from the garden. She likes napping under it.

Mine smell of digestive biscuits and fresh laundry.

I once kissed ours on the forehead and thought ooh you smell like baby powder.

Later remembered his litter was talcum powder scented.

Mine only ever smell of cat food.

My boys smells of cheese. My girl smells quite sweet.

They both have very different scents.

By old cat used to regularly smell of someone else’s perfume. Never figured out where he was going.

I think it’s their sweat glands isn’t it?
Mine either have “biscuit paws” or “soil paws”, depending on whether they’ve been out and about or lazed around the house all day. 😁

I regularly walk into the room to find DH sniffing one of the cats.

To be fair to him, they both usually do smell really nice.

When we first got them, he accused me of spraying perfume on them, that’s how good they apparently smelt!

LOL, so she's not alone so! Considering they lick themselves clean and she's awful breath it's a wonder she doesn't smell of wet pouches.

I always thought that cats and dogs smelling of bread just had a higher proportion of yeast infestations on their skin than others.

One of mine (Lenny) seems to regularly smell of bonfires - I've no idea where he's picking up that from.

My cat Boo smells of digestive biscuits. His brother Omar has a habit of putting his head under the foil sachet when he is being fed,.. He is a Cat of Very Little Brain so I try to avoid sniffing his head.

My cat usually smells oof fresh washing and his paws usually smell like digestive buscuits.He does spend days wandering though and walks miles.I have my spies out, they live about a mile away and tell me when he visits them 😃

when cat face goes outside especially in winter she comes back in and smells all "outdoor fresh" i love sniffing her then.

there was a time she smelled gorgeous - all lavendarry and laundry ish. then i established she'd been rolling in a box of dryer sheets.
