Vet or wait?

Cat1 was outside this morning on the side windowsill when I got up. I went to open the back door for her and heard retching before she came in. She wasn't her usual vocal, nosey self and slunk upstairs, retched up some saliva (tiny amount) and then went back out.

She came in half an hour ago and seems out of sorts. She's under the bed (not totally unusual but she would normally say hello first). To my knowledge she's not eaten today, which is not like her.

I thought I'd give her until tomorrow before contacting the vet, and remove the food so I can be sure what she is and isn't eating, although Cat2 will be cross. Does that sound reasonable?

I have a very low threshold for going to the vets. My cat was critically ill with minimal symptoms. I'd go today if she's not right.

hmm...starting to feel that way myself. She's still under the bed looking miserable. I'll see if I can get an appointment for after the working day.

Vet today if you can. She may have eaten something bad or have something stuck.

she's booked in for 15.00 today

Good call.. follow your instincts

Hope all’s ok

Grr - because the appointment was unplanned I forgot to lock the catflap and Cat1's gone out again, so no vet appointment. I've had to rebook for tomorrow AM. She must be suffering, as she wouldn't let me near her, or respond to Dreamies (Cat2 appeared instantly). We'll lock up properly as soon as she's back.

I'd take that as a good sign!
