Very bad ear infection

My lovely cat had some discharge from her ear and was lethargic. We had an appointment for vet but they couldn't see us until next week. She suddenly couldn't move properly, rolling her head, eyes rolling. We got an emergency appointment and they think the infection is in the bone. We are trying ear drops and anti nausea meds but this might be it for her. She is the gentlest most loving cat and I just can't imagine her not being her, sleeping on my lap all evening. The vet said if she doesn't improve in the next 5 days we will have to make some decisions. It's just horrible to see her feeling so unwell.

Cry it out, there’s no point holding it in.

She was a rescue cat, most likely a Maine coon cross breed. She was so gentle and sweet. She always came to the door to greet me when I got home from work and woke me up at 4am for company.

Such thick fur! But did she still like getting all cosy, or did she prefer to stay a bit cooler?
She certainly seemed very snuggled to her bed in your lovely photo.

She loved snuggling. She would often sleep with my eldest daughter under her blanket. Her fur was so gorgeous and thick.

She sounded a poppet.
Poor you and your family. As if 2020 hasn't been tough enough Flowers
