Didn't bother with a tree last year as cat was still a kitten. He has settled down a bit now and would like a tree this year. Any tips or advice? My previous cat didn't touch the tree but she was a different character altogether.

We have a fake tree because of my little blighters. One even tries to eat that initially but soon realises it's not as tasty as actual plants.

My cat/kitten (shes 9 month melanistic bengal so she's bloody MASSIVE) keeps gnawing on the branches of our artificial tree and climbing it. It looked healthy and real and then her big bum climbed it. She's knocked all the baubles off today. My 5 year old is bored of putting them back on.

The kids want it to stay up though..Confused

When you guys say you're tethering to a wall can anyone show me a picture of how you do that please. This is something I need in my life. Help!

I’m planning on a bit of string round the middle of the tree and attaching it to the window lock that is nearby - what can go wrong.

I’m also going SoupDragon style and chopping off the bottom 2ft of branches to amuse myself.

Love that pic of Bengal in tree I think you are going to need a sailors rope and anchor.

This is our 2nd christmas with the cats -last year we out up the pre-lit fake tree . No flashing or twinkling lights .

Female cat chewed the bulbs . Chewed the wires . Climbed the tree .

It went up on a Friday , down the following Monday .

DH thinks we should try again "because they're more settled now"
We'll see .

Ours gets tethered to the window latch, last year he didn't bother too much but the year before when he was only about 4 mo ths old was interesting

We have a fake tree that's only about 20cm high so our 2 can't destroy it... 😂
