Any ideas what could be wrong?

Evening all,

My poor little man hasn't been right at all today. He's barely eaten since he got up this morning and just slept beside me on the sofa most of the day. He had a few little sips of water here and there and went for a wee at around 5.30pm as my youngest saw him. By good fortune we actually have a vet appointment in the morning for his brother which is a final check up to make sure he's ok after a skin complaint so we can swap them around if he's still not right. He hasn't been sick at all and no diarrhoea, just no energy whatsoever, barely eaten and said nothing (he normally talks all day and night). They sleep inside at night so he wasn't in a fight. He's a year old, will be two in Feb.

Feeling worried tonight ☹️

Oh wow I didn't think it could be something so minor, I've gone into a total spiral this evening with worry. My dh wondered if he could be constipated and actually one of our old cats when I was a child had it a few times and was like this. I'm worrying as much as I do about the kids ☹️

Aww poor baby personally I would vet check i was going to with Charlie but he started eating when my son got home (my son is his favourite) but I have vet checked for excema on my other cats chin (didnt realise indoor cats can get fleas)

That's very interesting I'm definitely going to swap him for his brother's appointment in the morning. The vet they go to is super so that won't be a problem. His brother has been as bold as anything today, getting up to all sorts. Dh freaked me out when he said he knows something's wrong 😑

My poor baba has a kidney infection. He was really unwell by this morning. Thank goodness we had the appointment when we did. Vet phoned not that long ago and said he's much much better and temperature gone etc but they're going to keep him overnight on a drip to completely flush it out of him so he'll be home tomorrow.

Poor lad, good job you took him.

Freshair85 · 23/11/2020 22:32

Poor baby, hope he recovers quick

IRememberSoIDo · 24/11/2020 19:48

He's home! He's still not himself by a long shot but he's home and lying beside me since he got back. Hasn't eaten anything but the vet said he did there earlier so not to worry as he's fully hydrated from the drip. He keeps giving dh evil looks when he speaks to him as he's the one who brought him!

At least he’s home.
