Moved house cat disappeared - when do I start panicking?

We recently moved, I waited the recommended 2 weeks and he was itching to get out by the end.

So for the past couple of days he's been out in the garden but stayed very close by and kept coming back to the door/me where I'd give him a treat when he came back to me.

Anyway, this morning he did his usual garden rounds and then hopped over the fence. He came back a short while later, I gave him a treat, he came in and then went out again, back over the fence.

That was about 11am. Still no sign since despite me calling Sad

Hoping he's just grown a bit of confidence over last few days to go exploring. He always was an outside loving cat, but it worries me that we are somewhere new.

Ours did this and we had 6 days of wondering where on earth he was. He peered into the patio window one night when we thought he was gone forever. Does he have a litter tray? Put it at the highest point you can in the garden if he does and he may catch a whiff.

Put the litter tray outside the door and some strong smelling food. Probably just out exploring 🙂

When I moved years ago my cat didn't settle as I hadn't moved far enough so he kept vanishing off to the old place around a mile away.

Thanks. Hadn't thought of the litter tray, I'll try that. I have put some smelly food out already.

We have moved a good few miles away from our old house so I don't think he's gone there.
