Cat being sick

My 5 1/2 year old cat has been sick since 7/8pm last night. She threw up her food which was not unusual as she sometimes bolts it then is sick but this doesn't happen frequently and once over she reverts to normal and eats again, usually more carefully. She has vomited foamy white bile and is doing this every so often. She is drinking but we've not put food down to give her stomach a chance to recover. She doesn't seem to have a fever and looks fairly normal but is resting mostly. She is drinking and seeing although she hasn't done a poo yet but she usually goes outside to do that so it may take a while for her to use the litter tray. Obviously, it is early days and she may well perk up and whatever it is will go through her. I'm going to get her some chicken to eat to see if she will take that and obviously she is getting plenty of love and attention which she seems to want, Any suggestions on when I should see a vet or anything I can do to help her.

I’d ring the vet, it’s not normal to vomit repeatedly.

I think I will...

Well the vets couldn't fit us in. But the cat stopped being sick at around 3 yesterday slept for ages then woke up at 4 in the morning begging for food, has spent the day eating, sleeping and going out for a bit and is fine. So, it seems she may have eaten something that disagreed - she says she won't be going for KFC with the feral boys again!

KFC is the worst isn’t it? 😹

Our departed boy once ate red berries off a bush in the garden, threw up 5 times & sat next to me all night looking like a cat with a tummy ache.

Next day he trotted off down the garden and tried to eat them again & I had to grab him and send dh to cut the bush back. Young cats do silly things

She does have form although not for a while. A discarded sausage from our Polish neighbour's barbecue tempted her a while back but that came straight back up and she has eaten flies too which come pretty much straight back up. She's been fine although she now thinks because she got so much attention the world really does now revolve around her!
