Strange eating habits

My new cat has the usual wet and dry food, but she is reluctant to eat the dry food. We have tried the food provided when we collected her , and another borrowed, and have a third on order....

But she will eat it if I throw one at a time for her to catch and eat. This was too slow for her highness, so she jumped up and is eating it next to me....

Any tips on how to have her eat on the floor? She is happy with pouches in that location.

You have acquired an expert cat who is finding you ridiculously easy to train. Grin

Our grey girl also spends large amounts of time on the kitchen table (and regularly shares our breakfast...)

Maybe try a puzzle feeder? This one might work:

She says that as you won't eat off the floor. Neither will she. She's got you well and truly under the paw!

She is beautiful.

No progress on the eating of dry food, she has demanded additional wet food, and also that we wait in the kitchen while she eats, otherwise she follows us out.

Is there a particular reason why she can't eat on a surface somewhere? Mine have never been fed on the floor.

@vanillandhoney I don’t know anyone with pet bowls not on the floor. Where do you keep yours?
