Angus Is Desperate to make Friends

Some of you may remember my two ginger boys who were petrified of the feisty, teeny weeny neighbour's cat who used to sit on the other side of the catflap and they were too scared to go through (I've attached the photo which I have posted several times of them both sitting on the other side of the catflap wanting to go out).

Well the neighbour's cat now lives with us as they got dogs and she didn't want to go home somwas out in all weathers. We offered to take her in. It was a bit tense to start with but it has been over a year now and they don't fight or hiss but there is still a lot of caution from the gingers. One of them though is desperate to make friends. He has a great friendship with the neighbour's cat on the other side. Well he's decided it's time to snuggle up with feisty cat and I took this photo tonight after he had spent 15 minutes just gazing at her hoping she would invite him up. As you can see she just ignored him but was well aware he was there 😀

So sweet, your ginger boys are so patient! I hope they soon make friends with newbie cat 😻

She owns the sofa doesn’t she?. The lillies are fake aren’t they?.

Toddlerteaplease · 17/11/2020 08:51

Your boys are just gorgeous!

samlh · 17/11/2020 10:16

Aww how cute are they!

SaskiaRembrandt · 17/11/2020 10:21

What gorgeous cats!

TheLongRider · 17/11/2020 11:33

She knows fine well that he's there and wants to be friends. We have a black girl cat who is exactly the same. She's very haughty and our boy cats are very much beneath her.

@Toddlerteaplease Don't worry they are actually artificial hydrangea flowers 😀 No lilies allowed in this house! When the gingers were kittens I completely forgot about lilies being poisonous. One of them got onto my dining room table and was playing with the lilies and got covered in the pollen. I rang the vet who told me to bath him and watch him like a hawk for any signs of poisoning. I had shredded hands and one very cross kitten who had a lucky escape.

This is him after I had bathed him with his brother in the background terrified he was next!

@TheLongRider You are absolutely right. She knows exactly what she's doing the little mare!

It was me who was worried @Icequeen01, I didn’t think they’d be real but I’d rather check just in case.

Icequeen01 · 17/11/2020 17:58

I'm so sorry @Fluffycloudland77 and you are right to check as some cat owners may not realise how poisonous lillies are.

My apologies to @Toddlerteaplease too. In my defence I'm hungry so can't think straight😀
