Mini Leopard Is Worried

A funny morning here, thanks to a DC playing with an old cat collar. The jingling of the bell from it has convinced Mini Leopard that there is another cat about the house. His face and demeanor as he searches for this interloper is an amusing mix of worry, fury and confusion.

Eventually he tracked the cuckoo cat down. Why, it was in DC's bed! He could hear and see the cheeky blighty! It was moving about underneath the mound of bedsheets and blankets! He sat there for a while, watching incredulously and considering his options. It was a little scary but he must be brave. Why, his is the only bell allowed to jingle not a euphemism in this house! He reached out a tentative paw and tried a couple of taps. Nothing. There was nothing for it - he must go into full stalk and attack mode!

At this point, I had to intervene. Mini Leopard is a very big, muscular boy as cats go and would have caused some damage to DC and the bed linen when in full flow. His 'I knew that all along' face was a picture when I pulled back the bedding to reveal DC playing with the collar. With as much casual confidence as he could muster, he haughtily sauntered off and washed his parts.

Has your cat ever got hold of the wrong end of the stick?

My parents very highly strung boy gets very upset if he can hear my cats on FaceTime.

I hope you didn't laugh too much at him op.

Is he a Bengal?

I once took a neighbours cat to a vet in my car, Bengal boy saw basket go out empty and come back empty and smelt another cat. My car was thoroughly checked by the cat to check for interlopers. The house was inspected.

We thought no more of it until the next night when he was waiting for dh to come home and jumped into his car to check if it was dh smuggling cats and not me. Once Dh had been through customs he dropped it.

We have a mirror in our fireplace Blush and the cat wasn’t allowed in the lounge unaccompanied. One night he walked in front of the mirror and thought another cat was there, full on jump sideways & bottle brush tail, arched back reaction followed by accusing looks.

It is often hard not to laugh at him but we try not to let him see or hear us, because he really doesn't like it! Like when he misjudges a leap - we have to pretend not to see him. He looks round to check whether we were looking, and any sniggering behind hands or stifled laugh snorting gets a death stare. The things we do, eh?

That is so funny, Fluffy and Toddler! With ML, it's searching and stalking behind the TV or laptop for the birds, fish or wildlife he's seen on screen.
