cat proofing

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas how I can keep my cat safe... I have a small rectangular courtyard garden with three straight fences. Unfortunately behind the back fence is a huge sheer drop as the building behind has a deep basement.

Currently I sit out with her and watch her like a hawk but this has a shelf life, and she doesn't get to go out as much as she wants! I've been quoted £800 to cat proof with a company which is clearly insane plus it's a rental. It doesn't even need to be cat proof, but just enough to discourage jumping and give me time to pluck her off the fence if/when she decides to climb. Fences are too low for netting across the whole top, I have tall family! Maybe shelf brackets and some chicken wire stretched over would discourage? Anyone have any ideas they've tried?

Catio?
There are lots on ebay, you could have one and take it with you when you move.

Which company? Was it fully fitted installation?.

www.petforums.co.uk/threads/cheap-diy-ways-to-cat-proof-garden.502581/ there are diy ways. You can just take it with you when you move.

ah thank you that thread is exactly what I was looking for. The garden is so small a catio would take it up completely, and I don't want to spend my summer in a catio!
