Missing boy

My beautiful boy is missing. Last seen Tuesday evening. I'm heartbroken. He is very distinctive as he only has one ear. We've posted on Social media and combed the woods upside of the house. Very unlike him to wonder off he's always home for a good feed. He's not particularly friendly to people (I'm the exception) so doubt he's been lifted.

He's still not home 😥

Oh no OP :( I hope he comes home soon. It must feel like he has been missing forever but he could still come back! I once had a cat that went missing for 3 weeks but he came back :) Don't lose hope. Is he chipped and neutered?

Toddlerteaplease · 30/10/2020 21:51

Don't give up hope.

threecatsownme · 30/10/2020 21:52

Yes he's both chipped an neutered. I've rang all the local vets anyway and the street cleaning people in case they've picked him up somewhere. We've been out again today looking in the woods and the little stream we've got here. I've asked the postie and dog walkers if they've seen him. I don't know what else to do

I am glad he is chipped and neutered :) They say to put unwashed clothes on the washing line outside, put the litter tray out if he has one, or contents of the hoover outside so hopefully he can smell it and comes back. Also I hear it is good to call them between 2 and 5am as they are usually active then, although I know this isn't always practical. I have 3 cats and would be devastated if any of them went missing so I am praying you find him soon

I really hope he comes home.
Maybe he is in a garage or shed. As soon as the door is opened he'll come home. It's not that cold & if he's peckish he might find a juicy mouse.
One of mine vanished for nearly a week. She was in a neighbours garage.
Go out in the dark, and call and listen.
Let us know if you find him.
Also post a picture on Facebook groups for lost cats, more people keeping an eye out the better

Crazycatlady202020 · 09/11/2020 17:22

Any news OP?

threecatsownme · 09/11/2020 21:52

Nope he's still not home. No sightings it's like he's just vanished.

Oh god I’m so sorry, this is just awful. Are you still calling him?.

Paranoidmarvin · 10/11/2020 17:07

I’m so sorry x

PiperPiper20 · 10/11/2020 17:14

I'm so sorry OP. Have you done all the usual things?

Put their litter tray/bed/blanket/contents of your hoover outside so that they can follow their scent home.

Put stinky wet food around the boundary of your property.

Post on Facebook local pages, Petlog, community websites, gumtree etc with a photo, date last seen and location, and your contact details. Contacting social organisations for the elderly including church groups are often very helpful and kind.

Print posters with a photo, date last seen and location, and your contact details.

Put posters/flyers with above information through neighbours doors asking them to check sheds, garages and out buildings.

Contact all local vets, RSPCA and PDSA asking them to keep an eye out.

Go out at night when it is very quiet and still to call for them and listen. (this was what eventually brought my cat home).

Knock on doors with your flyers and put a human face to your missing cat. Neighbours are often more likely to check their sheds of help you look when you’ve spoken to them.
