I love black cats! They are so elegant and characterful. No pic as I don't have one at the moment, but I have in the past and hope that I will again.

Impressed these beauts have their own day - I love black cats and would only ever choose a black kitty, given the choice. Here is Princess Suki - actually only Suki but we have to now refer to her with her more regal title to reflect her position in the household hierachy. She is being held by her loyal subject, DH, who initially didn't want a cat and was having nothing to do with her and is now the royal chef and chief pamperer.

I bought a weighted blanket & had spent bloody ages wrestling it into the cover. I go to make a cuppa & by the time I get back, it's been taken over!

Black cats are the best!

My DH was also a 'don't want a cat/not a cat person/dogs only thank you very much/having nothing to do with any cat which comes in this house' type. Predictably he was smitten within hours days of adopting her and he's now utterly devoted .

My sister's Norwegian Forest Cat, Freya. Also known as the Furry Demon and is very much admired for her bottle brush tail. She has bat wings for Halloween fancy dress.

My two pretty much identical brothers. I have no idea which cat is in the second photos.

This is our black cat called Monty, he had a total hip replacement at 4 months by a 'supervet' and he thanks us for it everyday by attacking and biting us

My house panther is heading towards 20 by the end of the year - it's a bit vague as she's a rescue. Have had the privilege of serving her for 7 years and looking forward to several more. She does very little now apart from eat and sleep, but likes to keep us on our toes.

Which is why my cat is called Smoosh! Although he doesn't actually like being smooshed that much. He's very much an independent cat.

@FlippinNoah thank you! She has a bed with a blanket but she systematically takes them out one at a time and arranges herself on the floor like this to feed them!

My Gorgeous black monster Loki was pts in January with bowel cancer.
He was 15, huge, and hated everyone in the house except me. Fine with random strangers stopping for fuss though!

We've got a black and white rescue now who was hand reared so doesn't know how to cat.
