Been told to keep cat in for a week?! Tips please!

Took dcat to the vet as she’s had on/off limping for several weeks. Vet has prescribed metacam and a week of house arrest to hopefully allow whatever it is to heal. She loves her outdoors and will not be happy at staying in. I have a feeling she will meow relentlessly during the night to go out - normally I just get up and let her own when she asks to. Any advice?

Can you put her in one room overnight so you don’t get the 4:30am paw in your mouth wake up call.

I had to do this recently and the cat did cope. Remember the metacam needs to be given on full stomach.
He did mew a bit to start with but soon got used to being in, although he scratched the hell out of the sofa so a scratching post may help.

She is already meowing by the back door looking at me like I’m an idiot who has forgotten how to open a door
