New kittens dodgy tummies

I am thinking of calling OOH vet but just checking I'm not being a hypochondriac.

New 13 week old kittens arrived Friday eve ( 1.5 hr journey). Literally since arrival they have had soft, unformed stools. Same food as breeder- Felix and Royal Canin pouches, tiny bit of fish, Royal Canin dry. She said Royal Canin kitten not Mother and Babycat although kitten says from 4 months. She also fed raw food on top of all that which is the only thing I have taken out as I'm not going to be continuing that. Nothing new added. Kits wormed and vaccinated.

Obviously they are happy as anything - eating well, drinking lots, using litter box (it's not explosive or watery), bouncing off the walls but also being left to sleep a lot when they want to rest.

Pretty certain it is stress-related from new home and journey so would you go to OOH vet today or wait to see my excellent regular vet on Monday.

Same happened with one of mine when I got her. Vet put her on a special dry-only diet for a short time which sorted her out.

Sorry forgot to say - she too was perfectly happy so I would wait to see your regular vet.

Thanks- apparently they can feed them some paste as well to dry them out?!

You can get the paste from Amazon but I would give them the we to settle in.
Have they deffo been wormed?

Yes but a month ago so will check with vet if another dose required. With my adult it was only once a month because he was hunting I thought.

I know you can get probiotics and various online but with them being so little I'd rather shell out for the vet (they are insured but expect this will be below the excess anyway) - just didn't know whether they could wait until tomorrow.

Kittens normally get wormed every couple of weeks. Could just be from the journey and settling into a new place. Pro-kolin paste is supposed to help

Poached chicken is my go to for settling kitten tummies. Just a couple of days of chicken only.

They've gone most of the morning without doing a number 2 so will inspect litter tray shortly and see how we are doing. Sounds like I need more wormer from the vet anyway.

Yes @TheQueef they are Burmese! Ridiculously silky. Replacements for our beloved Burmese cross who died earlier this year. Bloody hard to get this time due to covid. Only been here less than 48 hours and cuddly and happy to see us already!

Aww, they are just sooo cute! Hopefully their tummies settle soon.

I did boiled chicken and rice for my dog when he had that years ago and I see a poster above us suggesting just chicken, so I’d go with just chicken too (perhaps cats can’t eat rice) if they still have tummy problems.

Don't ever touch one Guppy they may look a bit plain for a pedigree but they make up for it by bewitching anyone who holds them!
I have a female Burmese, she's the biggest scootch whore ever.
She even let the bin man pick her up and nuzzled his face beside the big diesel bin wagon.

I don't think I will ever have another breed to be honest. They are basically dog cats - one is cuddling me already, calling to me and running over to me and we are only 48 hours in. Our last cat was like this till the end of his life. Clearly any cat can be like this if you are lucky but it is a core breed trait of Burmese so more or less guaranteed!

I have to say that our current moggy’s clinginess and fondness for people was a bit of a shock after years of standoffish cats. We went away for a few days and she was frantically glad to see us when we came back (despite the neighbours’ devoted attentions).
