Become resistant to Stronghold? (Pets At Home vet)

My car has been having monthly Stronghold drops from the Pets At Home vet for about three years.

About a month ago I realized she was overgrooming and checked - fleas. She'd had her Stronghold two weeks earlier. I thought maybe I was sloppy with the application and she was able to lick some off or something. So I got more from the vet and treated her. About two weeks later she still has fleas. The vet gave me a flea collar at the same time so I put that on her yesterday, and so far she hates it. I'm also not keen on sending her out in a collar because our house is surrounded on two sides by a wooded area she likes to play in and I worry it could get caught on something.

I tried to call the vet today but they're busy. I think maybe she's grown resistant to the brand. It seems like every now and then one flea brand disappears to be replaced by another. Is anyone else finding Stronghold ineffective?

I use advantage so that might be worth a try.

Have you treated your house 98% of a flea problem is in the environment. Good quality spray like acclaim, indorexx or RIP should help.
