Ah so I've posted about Basil a few times. Hes not very well! He's been abit off his wet food, is sleeping a lot more- he normally follows us wherever we go even if he's asleep hel wake up and find us but on Sunday he slept for hours and hours and it's jusy not like him, he dosent really want to play and he had a small accident of a runny poo on the carpet which he was so embarrassed about. He was due his second lot of vaccinations today and told the vet about how he's been and she felt his stomach and said it was tender.

She's advised to not do the vaccinations today and to bring him back on Friday and see how he is and just stick to dry food for now. I'm beside myself with worry he's only 12 weeks old and he's just the best I'm fearing the worst!

This has all happened in the last couple of days so I'm so grateful we had the vet app hooked!

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Sorry I'm still a new cat mum so no advice. But get well soon Basil.

ColonSemiColon · 13/10/2020 21:28

Aww, poor kitty! Has he been wormed?

ifiwasascent · 13/10/2020 21:46

3 weeks ago the vet gave us an ointment to put on his neck but he's so fluffy I don't know if it actually sank in. Could that be the cause do you think?

@Mumdiva99 thank you, they're such a worry!

Get well soon basil. Xx

I was wondering about worming? Tango did similar then puked a load up. 🤢. Worked and back to normal. Did the vet suggest anything?

HappyThursdays · 13/10/2020 21:52

He's gorgeous! Hope he gets better soon. Did he change food or anything?

ColonSemiColon · 13/10/2020 21:57

They do get a swollen tummy if they’ve got worms. You can get a course of liquid medicine from the vet which will sort them out if they’ve got bad worms.

Okay that's really helpful thank you so much

@HappyThursdays he changed from dry food only to a combo of dry/wet food about 3 weeks ago but hasn't had any problems until now so I don't think it could be that 🤔

Thank you all for your help. He went back to the vet today and she also thinks it's worms! He's been given some medication to put in his food so will hopefully start to feel better soon. Thank you 😻

Poor baby! I hope he recovers soon! Glad it's something innocuous like worms and you can get it treated

Puppythursday is under the weather - was vomiting last night and I'm hoping it was just something he ate and not something more serious.

They do cause us a lot of worry don't they!

userxx · 16/10/2020 21:09

Awww, bless him. Hope he feels better much soon.

userxx · 16/10/2020 21:10

No idea what much soon means, but you get the jist.

ifiwasascent · 16/10/2020 21:52

Much soon 😂 thank you! @HappyThursdays oh no! They are a such a worry! Hope yours has a speedy recovery!xx
