Flea/worm treatment - any handy tips

Just got 6 month supply of MiPet from the vet with instruction to apply to back of neck monthly.
First time going to be doing this - any tips to make this easy, presuming that my cat may not just sit still to let me do this.

Also, she just had a jab and wondering if I should wait a bit before giving the flea treatment so as not to overload her with treatments.

Dont make a song and dance of it, so have it ready, you need to pierce the top to open keep in your hand ready and when cat asleep or on your lap squeeze on back of neck its not an exact science so stealth is your friend d

Be fine to have flea stuff we vaccinate and deflea at same time.
