Fire Safety Advice

It’s getting a bit nippy in the evenings here so the fire has been lit. It is ok to leave the kitten alone in the room with the open fire? Will he instinctively not touch it?

You don't need a big toddler guard, I have had cats and open fires my whole life and not had any issues. They know not to sit in it, poke it or get too close.

You should really be putting the guard in front of the fire anyway if you are not in the room, cat or no cat.
