Best nutrition for kittens/cats

How can I find out more about nutrition for cats? What's the 'best' food for them?

I have 2 gorgeous rescue kittens who seem to love the Whiskas 'kitten' pouches, with a bit of dry GoCat sprinkled on top.

But is this like McDonald's for cats? Should I be trying them on an alternative brand?

Thanks for your wisdom.

Go cat is terrible as it has cereals as the first ingredient. Meat should be the first ingredient as cats are obligate carnivores

I think it was AVA kitten food from pets at home i used. I gave wet and dry in separate bowls. Dry left out and wet given a few times a day

The kitten, who's 6 months, was getting Applaws dry kitten food to go along with her Felix as good as it gets, but the delivery order got screwed up. In desperation I got her some Harrington's dry food and she has hoovered it up!

Oh dear, our kitten turned his nose up straightaway at Whiskas, so he's on James Beloved dry food and a bit of tinned wet food. Vet recommended he would be fine on just dry food but we give him a little wet food as a treat and for variety.

We have been feeding our newly acquired kitten Sainsbury's Complete Nutrition Kitten Food crunchies and cooked pork.

No complaints so far.
