How long do your cats spend asleep in daft places?

Basil decided to have a kip in a basin yesterday morning. He stayed curled up in it for six and a half hours. He has now been back in it since 9.15 this morning. This is mildly eccentric even by his standards.

Mine just sleeps on me, his bed or any soft surface
Currently the back of the sofa is a favourite

This is a bed base on its side.
She also sleeps under my bed

My cat is currently sleeping in an Ikea cubby hole like your meme photo @Sunnydaysstillhere. She's been there for 3 hours so far Grin

Mine seems to become completely enamoured with a particular spot for weeks and then changes to another one..I don’t know what makes him fall out of love with it!!

I did wonder whether it gets too smelly but washing the blanket or whatever makes no difference.

@TheSpottedZebra
I have no idea! For extra cuteness, he climbs the airer like a ladder because he broke the last one jumping on it Grin

TheSpottedZebra · 16/09/2020 19:52

Ah, so GreenCatCat is wise and has learnt from experience?

raspberrypickle · 16/09/2020 20:18

This is his favourite spot at the moment!

The path, for max tripping points (plus she doubles as a rug)

On her scratching pad. She loves to wiggle around on it.

Ours goes through phases, but much to DP’s annoyance she really likes his laptop. Several keys have popped off.

@Sunnydaysstillhere shelf 5 up from the bottom, on the right. Black cat, green eyes.

Gingaaarghpussy · 16/09/2020 23:26

Behind the TV?

sweetkitty · 16/09/2020 23:40

Can’t get a photo but my big ginger idiot is asleep on my work bag after deciding the £1000 iPad was too uncomfy after about an hour!

Sunnydaysstillhere · 16/09/2020 23:44

Under the actual TV....

wedidntstartthefires · 16/09/2020 23:47

Mine never sleeps anywhere weird (or I'm just used to it) but she does sleep in the dogs bed or the top of the stairs (trying to kill me - or possibly the dog)

Thisismynewname123 · 29/09/2020 11:36

Can I add a late contribution? She loves it when our posh chocolates come out so she can sleep in the bag.

Girlcat has taken to sleeping in a cardboard box under the spare room bed. I didn't realise this, so when I went in there the other night as DP was snoring, I had a real horror movie moment when I heard Strange Noises under the bed.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 29/09/2020 13:36

I must have misidentified my two pets, I think they might be dogs after all. They both sleep in their actual beds, that we bought for them.

Definitely not cats.
