Kitten is now 5 months. Some kitten pictures for all the lovely people that have replied to my endless questions. Catio finished bar a few tweaks. Thank you.

He's very beautiful.

Beamur · 06/09/2020 18:49

Toffewhirl
I love them. What absolutely beautiful faces.
The catio is really lovely. I'm very lucky to be able to let mine out, but they seem to be happy to mostly stay indoors.

DidSomebodySaySiamese · 06/09/2020 18:49

I had no idea herbs came in such a variety of colours. The huge terracotta pot has cat nip in it (behind olive tree). I’m going to put some colourful tiles down on the step and mosaic a few pots.

Thanks @Vinorosso74 I can’t remember who pointed me in the direction of plant website for animals but it was brilliant.

@Toffeewhirl. Ooooooh stunning pair!

That catio is wailing out for another kitten....

Catnip pot wasn’t in previous photos!

It’s 18 years since my Siamese died and I still miss her every single day. They really are one person cats and when they pick you it’s forever.

DidSomebodySaySiamese · 06/09/2020 19:40

@Okbutnotgreat. When do they pick a person? We all get equal love, chat, followed and cuddles.

Basically we are all eyeing each other to see who gets to be ‘his person’ 👀

Our orientals (and previous one) are very generous with their affection. Everyone gets love and attention from them.
When our lovely boy died last year we had cards and flowers from our neighbours who he used to be friends with too! He might have had a softer spot for DH but spent most nights snuggled next to me and most days trawling the neighbourhood for chats and fuss.

DidSomebodySaySiamese · 06/09/2020 21:55

@Beamur that makes me so happy! Bloody awful to say goodbye though.

The catio looks great and he is absolutely divine! I have a Snowshoe (they are closely related to Siamese cats) and she loves everyone Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/09/2020 08:38

Maybe he won’t have one person but a harem full of servants instead.

CheshireCats · 07/09/2020 08:46

I have a traditional seal point Siamese too! She is VERY talkative 😃 And we have built a catio. Lovely to see your beautiful boy - I so love the traditionals and they seem really hard to find!

Oldraver · 07/09/2020 09:25

That's brilliant, I have a good list of poisonous to cats plants but could do with a friendly list

Colin has been going outside the last few days and absolutely loves it. He has managed to traverse a Cotswold stone wall and was eying up the fence. He has managed in 13 weeks what took Ern a year to figure. He'll be on his harness for a while

Okbutnotgreat · 07/09/2020 09:44

@DidSomebodySaySiamese I thought they were supposed to be like mine was so never thought anything of it. She was my partner in crime for 18 years, she was nice to other people but if I was there she was always glued to my side (or my shoulder) with a pretty constant commentary on everything. I split up with boyfriends if she didn’t like them and was very happy when she took to DH. I was a lonely teen and she saw me through many dark times and I would give anything to have her back even now. Maybe it’s more that I’m a one cat womanHmm

Oldraver · 07/09/2020 09:48

I'm sure there must be some Siamese in Colin. Ive never had such a loud cat. I had to take OH to work and he woke DS up through two shut doors and a landing

Beamur · 07/09/2020 10:00

Okbutnotgreat
Sounds like you two had a lovely bond.
I think my boy was very gregarious. The girls (current residents) are not as friendly with people outside the family. They love us and tell us off for going out, but they don't approach other people. Which, given they go out is actually quite reassuring!
Boy cat brought home a few times by rookies who don't understand oriental talkativeness and mistook it for distress 😂
Cat was most put out...

DidSomebodySaySiamese · 07/09/2020 11:13

@Okbutnotgreat your cat vetoing boyfriends would have been unbelievable to me before kitten. Now I have kitten it makes complete sense.

Colin must have some lungs on him! Lovely that he is out out.
