My cat - who is 15 - but otherwise in good health, has this external growth which appears to give him no issues but we don't know what it is. We are going to take him to the vet now they seem to open properly again for non emergencies. It has a very small root where it attaches to him almost mushroom shaped. Has anyone had a similar experience?
