We welcomed our 10 wk old kittens on Friday. They are gorgeous. They are well behaved. They play. They sleep. They eat. And boy do they poop. And it stinks.....proper stink the whole ground floor out stink. Is this normal? How often do you completely change the whole litter....every day?

Lovely kittens, but I could not abide the smell either. Sorry it's just not worth it. Well not for me anyway.

Having pets in a house is hard work and smelly. Ugh.

Kids are the same but they can talk to you and hug you. Cats don't do that, all they want to do is eat and shit. You are their maid in the end.

We all got used to the smell after a few weeks. Friends don't comment but I'm happy to keep people away anyway. Older cats prefer to go outside, anyway.

I like the recycled newspaper pellets from Pets At Home.

Ashycat was a revelation in poo-ology. OMG the niff when I first got her. She did one during the night that was so bad it woke me up! I changed her onto grain free and it improved. SHe's back on food with grain in it and seems fine.

It's probably the excitement of moving into a new home, a change of food and will settle down soon.

They're gorjuss BTW.
