Introducing two kittens

We got our kittens from different litters. First one came a few weeks ago and is the most loving kitten.. until he encountered his new sister who came a few days ago.

I get that he’s territorial but every time we try and get them in the same room he goes for her viscously. Anyone got any tips?

I had this with 2 of my cats, were just took it really slowly until they finally got to like each other, but it was about a month I think!!

Thanks SunIn, we let them fight it out this morning and by the afternoon they were playing with each other. Phew!!

Can’t seem to copy one here for some reason! Shame they are gorgeous although the newer kitten hates being picked up or cuddled which is a shame!

I've had 8 weeks between getting my two. Lots of fighting initially but now they love each other. They groom each other and often sleep together, this is after almost two weeks. They still fight but it's mostly play fighting. I was torn initially between letting them fight it out and intervening, so I just stepped in when it went too far. I think the smell put my first kitten off number two. She came from a house with 7 other cats and she had a strong smell to her.

Scent and instinct seem to be what it’s all about. Mine are now forming a bond after only 5 days and it’s lovely to watch.
