weaning off pouches

Can I and should I? My cat loves them and insists on two a day but I wondered if a good dried food is enough. A really posh one. He does have dried as well but just loves the pouches but I dislike the waste (packaging) that you get with them. Do cats need the wet stuff as well?

Haribo has gone off wet cat food but he is good at eating his dried and having a drink of water afterwards.

My cat hasn’t had wet food since at least the start of last summer, so Well over a Year now. I feed her Iams now. She started to faff about eating the wet stuff and then being fussy about it if she felt it had been left out too long, then the flies would come and get it and in the end I just got fed up of her messing with it and swapped to dry food Only. She doesn’t seem to be suffering any ill effects and actually seems generally more enthusiastic about eating now than when she had wet food.

My two will only eat a tiny bit of wet food as a treat. But love dry. They have Iams. It's the only food I've found that doesn't make Cheddar sick!

As he’s a boy id keep him on wet for urinary health.
