My cat has lost confidence

Earlier this week my 3 year old girl tabby came in with a scratched ear from fighting.
She s never been a very brave cat and has stayed close to home but she loves the garden and nearby alleyway.
Since then she s quite nervy, jumping at noise and glued to my side and reluctant to go out.
I m sitting in the garden with her sometimes but shes still watchful.
How long before she ll settle down? I m back at work in September and I hate seeing her scared

Hopefully, she'll bounce back soon. They're all so different. I've got one who's afraid of everything and another one who'd take on the worldGrin. Do you know who might've attacked her?

There's a large black and white cat that sometimes roams around. Think its male but my girl is neutered so he shouldn't be interested.
I dont know who owns it as keep seeing it wandering around the estate.

Oh dear, poor girl. If she got scratched on the ear she was facing up to the other cat & being very brave.

Have bathed her ear and keeping an eye on it but it seems to be healing.
Maybe I have underestimated her and she's stood up to the bully.

Try a Feliway plug-in. I found it really helpful when my cat had ‘issues’ with another cat.

@Watto1 I was going to get that anyway for October as I m going on my delayed holiday then when ds will be looking after her.
Will try it now and see if it helpsSmile
