So the pixie cat is just over 2 and from the start has never been very affectionate or loving or wanted anything to do with us ,she has attacked my oh a few times and made a mess of his arms and his head she has also left huge scratches on my arms and today has leapt from the back of the sofa and left my feet in a huge mess all scratched and bloody we have tried alsorts with her and she has her own personal space but it's still made no difference she is still nasty ,our issue with this is our dd is having a baby in January and we are going to be doing a lot of childcare when she is back at work and worried about the cat going near baby and hurting it . we know if we re-home her she will struggle to find a home but just don't know what else to do

Well I suppose that makes a change from wanting to rehome because you’re the one having the baby.

Rehoming centres deal with all sorts of cats and are usually experienced with assessing a cat and identifying what type of environment will suit it best. If you decide to rehome, I would use a rehoming with a good reputation such as cat protection. If you decide you would like to keep your cat, there are cat behaviourists who might be able to help.

Where did you get her from?.

moolady1977 · 17/08/2020 15:15

@Fluffycloudland77 her mum belonged to my stbxh she was the last of a litter of 5 he got let down last minute by the person who said they wanted her so I somehow got talked into having her like I put in my op she has just never wanted fusses or affection and any time she has its on her terms she is more bothered about biting or scratching than being petted
