Pissed off

My bloomin cats have been pissing all over the place and shay in a pile of washing on the settee. Have had to strip the setee off to wash the covers but I can still smell cat piss so I think they've peed somewhere else in the room as well. They are outdoor cats and spend 90% of their time willingly outside so why are they coming in and pissing everywhere. I found 2 contaminated toy boxes in ds room, can smell piss in my room and the hall also. I'm so annoyed with them Angry not that they even know or care!
I can't actually find the source of the smell either so it's driving me insane. Bad bad bad cats Sad

Could be a medical reason. UTI?
Could be an anxiety issue. New cat in the neighbourhood?
Why are they outside cats?

I think it's because they are little shits. They like being outside hunting and what not. They meow to come in for food and sometimes stay in to sleep and do the toilet wherever possible. They also meow to get back out again.

I doubt it. Behaviour is communication. They are unwell or unhappy.
Age? Neutered? How long have you had them? Last vet checked when? Any change in circumstances?

Namechange6005 · 16/08/2020 22:14

The eldest one is 7 and younger one is 2. Had both from kitten but elder one stayed with my mum for a couple of years and been back with me for 3 years maybe 4 because I moved to a safer area. Biggest change is a new baby who is 3 months. Maybe they are stressed about that. They don't generally go to the vets because the journey to the vet is very traumatic for them especially the elder one who sounds like he can't breathe when he's in the car because he's so panicked. They are both neutered and spayed. They also have little spats between each other so maybe they are pissed off with each other. I don't know.

Likely it’s the baby.
I would get a vet check first. (They should be going yearly for vaccinations anyway.) They should be up to date on flea and worm treatments too.
Feliway can help.
Can they escape somewhere quiet and high in the house?
Do they have access to multiple litter trays?
Spend some time with them if you can.
