Finally the day has arrived.
The kittens are booked for spaying.
Does anyone know if they are still sent home with the cones of doom?

Thank you everyone - loving the bay watch suit! We are having them all done on the same day. Fingers crossed for suits rather than cones! Otherwise there is going to be a lot of cat crashes....
They are three girls - Cash, Alfer and Tango.

My female rescue came to me two days after spaying (with Vet’s approval). She had the tiniest keyhole wound. No cone. Healed fine. They shaved a large area of fur, though. She seemed completely unfazed by it.

My ladies went for their second injections this morning - you would think I had made them run 10k. They’ve snuggled up to their mum and slept the day away. I’m thinking they may well do a stellar performance once they are home after being spayed.
They will of course be spoilt totally and utterly.

We don't give them cones or babygros. I'm surprised so many vets seem to.

Bargebill19 · 14/08/2020 02:13

Interesting to see different approaches. We shall have to wait and see. We’ve arranged our schedules so we will both be home with them whilst they recover.

Well that was a bust. 12 hours of no food, followed by a trip to the vets. Only to discover the vet has gone home sick so no spaying.
Kittens home and being spoilt rotten. On to to plan d. 🥺
Dad cat is now camped out by our back door😱
