Hot cats

It's too hot. So I stay in the shade, in the cool areas of the house. Yet my cats want to keep on going in the conservatory, which is scorching. If I shut them out, they scratch and cry.

The fat fluffy cat is surprisingly ok, but the slim sleek cat keeps on getting overheated. Any ideas how I can help him? They have water dishes for drinking, a tray filled with water for splashing (they're twats and they love this). A pet cooling mat - mostly ignored but sometimes mistakenly sat on. They have all the places to go which are comfy and cool. But they don't.

Ps they're scared of the fan.

Oh, I wet my slim cat last night when he was at his most overheated. But what else could I try?

@TheSpottedZebra ice packs (the ones used for going to picnics) under blankets in their cat-beds (if they do stoop that low on cat scale and actually do use a cat bed that the human bought for them).

Cold frozen water bottle underneath a towel will also do the trick.

Ooh that's a thought - thanks! They don't like cat beds (are you mad?) but they do sleep on thin cushions on their bed. Yes, they have their own human bed.
